RED CONTROL CATEGORY - Group Numbers Reduced

Posted 11/24/2020

Hello Everyone,

As you are all aware, as of Monday, November 23rd Durham Region was moved into the Red-Control Category of the Ontario Government's COVID 19 Response Framework. Click here

The Board worked all weekend to try to figure out a plan that would keep our skaters safe, and allow them to train to the best of their ability while following the red control guidelines.

Most skaters with changes in their schedules should of been notified already, so if you haven't heard anything you are probably good to continue skating your regular session. Please know we are still working through some bugs and kinks so we ask that you be patient with us.

Our schedule changes are posted (changes are in red) and our updated Return To Play document. A few things we would like highlight on the protocols:

  • Maximum of 10 people on ice (volunteers, skaters, coaches)
  • NO SPECTATORS (exception 1 parent/guardian per child under 18)
  • No change rooms-chairs to tie skates
  • No Guest Skating-Sessions are full
  • Must enter as a group, no in/out privileges
  • Social Distance increased to 3 metres while exercising
